El subgrupo del que es cabecera LIEH, opera en el ámbito de la Directiva 2009/138/CE del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo sobre el acceso a la actividad de seguro y de reaseguro y su ejercicio (Solvencia II), y está formado por entidades aseguradoras en Europa y Latino América. Asimismo, incluye otras compañías de servicios y holdings.

Liberty International European Holdings, S.L.U. (LIEH) is a Spanish-based holding company head of a sub-group of entities whose ultimate parent company is Liberty Mutual Holding Company Inc. (LMG), a S&P "A" rated company of a global insurance group domiciled in the United States of America.
LIEH, is the head of the European Sub-group, it operates under Directive 2009/138/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of Insurance and Reinsurance (Solvency II), and is currently comprised of insurance companies in Europe and Latin America. It also includes other services and holdings companies.
